Sorry for ruining the old blog.

I like your predictions. Especially with how they play out for the picks.

Noticed this on the last blog.

I like all of this. That third line while a little green would be hard to play against.

Lot of dead money on the books.

Would love Fox, not overpaying to get him.

If Dallas doesn't win 2 rounds I believe that second rounder from them is #49, I'd be willing to give that pick for Fox

I agree but Jimbo's offer sounds OK to me.

Need to get rid of Staal and maybe Shattenkirk. Not sure if letting him go is the right move though.

Only one page off the rails, we were still talking hockey.
Well thought out predictions, Jan. Could see that happening.

I think that's too high. We can still get a good player at 49 AND have Fox one year later.

I'm sticking with the third rounder and nothing higher if the reports that he ONLY wants to play for the Rangers are true.

That's why I suggested trading them Names for Fox. Yeah, on the surface it's an overpayment. However, you kill two birds with one stone by getting rid of the cap hit. Plus, get to keep your draft picks.

Was going to comment on that lineup too. Maybe not Cup contenders, but playoff bound.
Especially after Ruff becomes a sunspot.

I have a feeling the devils are taking Kakko. Is there a huge difference between the two? And which one would you guys rather we get if we had a choice?

I'd prefer Kakko, but I could get very into having Jack Hughes, very excited if we get him too

Agreed.
Even if that rumor isn't true, we still have a legit shot at signing Fox for free. I would give up a 3rd though just to be sure.

Canes might want a pick as well for taking on that salary, but I would do it.

Not much of a difference other than the one that the Rangers don't draft is not going to be a bust
